ARC Book Review - Someday Never Came, by Autumn Lawrence-Barnette

Book rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Trigger warnings:  real life issues of PTSD, depression, alcohol, veteran to civilian transition and combat death.

Serena / "Serenity" - now lives in Nashville, TN, and works as a publisher/editor for a book company. She loves to read, and loves the books and the stories they hold. Serena starts getting text messages from a number she doesn't know. She finally realizes who is texting her after 10 yrs of silence, Jensen. Serena left her hometown and created her new life in Nashville, she hasn't been back home in those 10 yrs she's been gone.

Jensen, was in the military for the last 10 yrs, and has gotten out and is back to being a 'civilian'. Something he really doesn't know how to be. Jensen takes on a lot of the projects around his family's house to stay busy. He needs to be doing something with his hands. He doesn't know what to do without the military.

Serena goes back home for the 4th of July week. Back to Jensen's family's beach house. Jensen has done a lot of remodel work on the inside of the house. However, he kept the creaky floorboards.

Will Jensen realize what he gave up 10 yrs ago when he left Serena? Will Serena move back to the beach house / small town? Will Serena forgive Jensen for leaving her 10 yrs ago?

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
