ARC Book Review - Till Death Do Us Part, (Brutal Vows #2), by Aleatha Romig

Review Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

TILL DEATH DO US PART is a stand-alone dangerous Mafia/cartel romance in the new “Brutal Vows” series. This is book #2 in the series.

Mia Luciano her brother Dario is the new capo of the family. Dario has stated that Mia has mourned long enough - after 6 months, and she is to wed Aléjandro.  Mia's first husband, Rocco was not kind to her during their 10 yr marriage. Now that he has died Mia was looking at being on her own and being her own person for a while, however, her brother Dario has other plans for her future. Mia isn't sure of Aléjandro, he is 2 yrs younger than she is. She has lived through pain and sometime torture the last 10 yrs she doesn't want another 10 yrs of the same. Mia needs to learn not all men hurt and use you / your relationship for personal gain.

Aléjandro Roríguez is the son of the leader of the Roríguez cartel. Aléjandro's sister is married to her brother, Dario, and this marriage will join the families further. As second in command, Aléjandro has to remain in California to oversee operations. Mia isn't excited to leave her Kansas City home, and all that she knows. But, she knows that she has to do what is expected from her.

Aléjandro has been taking over responsibilities from his father, however many of the older men do not like that he is now who they have to report to. The cartel is having 'leak's' of information and no one can seem to figure out where the information is coming from. It seems that Aléjandro and Mia are going from one takedown to another. Mia isn't sure what is safe any more. Aléjandro is very kind to Mia, he knows she needs time to get to know him, and she needs to heal from her past relationship. He is willing to give that to her.

I received an advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review.
