ARC Book Review - The Player's Club by Fallon Greer

Book Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cole “Mac” Mackenzie plays NHL hockey for the Los Angeles Blades team. He grew up in a religious community in Idaho. When he was a teenager he realized he didn't need to believe what his parents did. He could believe what he wanted, he could do what he wanted. He is estranged from his parents because of this.

Elodie works as a reporter who digs up dirt on local LA area celebrities and sports members. It's a sleazy job but it's a paycheck.  Elodie had a book deal, but it fell through so she is looking for money and working on a 'career' of what she wants to do with her life. Elodie had been dating a guy she was friends with back in high school, they were on again off again, but, he has recently moved from LA up to San Francisco, for his job. He did as Elodie to move with him, but she loves LA, San Francisco is too cold for her.

There is a BD$M angle of this book. Cole is a member of the 'S@X club'. Once Elodie realizes that Cole is into this 'club' she knows she can't write about it, due to the people that come and go from it. Elodie and Cole start talking and hanging out, and she is really into him. She doesn't want to come out as a reporter to him, but she doesn't want to hide her career either.

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
