ARC Book Review - Delayed Penalty (Seattle Serpents, #3) by Teagan Hunter

Book Rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐

DELAYED PENALTY is the 3rd book in the series, but it is a standalone hockey romance novel.

Quinn Benson is a bit of a hot mess, she's in her early twenties. However, she can't keep a job, she runs through roommates like crazy, she is late on paying her bills. She's an adult who isn't adulting. She doesn't know what she wants to be when she grows up.

Adam Hayes is a younger hockey player. He recently gained custody of his niece, Flora he never knew about. He doesn't have the first clue about feeding her, him and keeping the day going. Hayes is all about hockey, that's the only thing he has ever wanted to do. Hayes needs a nanny for Flora, and the baker  Mrs. Bess, down the street suggests her daughter, Quinn would be perfect. Turns out Mrs. Bess is right!

Quinn may be a hot mess as an adult, but Flora takes to her instantly. Quinn makes Flora feel at ease, and makes her feel safe and comfortable. That's all Hayes wants, is for Flora to connect with someone, even if that isn't him. After being around Flora for a few months, Quinn realizes she loves being around her and kids her ages. Quinn starts wondering about becoming a teacher, going back to college for an education degree. Would Hayes be ok to her going back to college and watching Flora?
