ARC Book Review: The Mafioso’s Promise : An Enemies to Lovers, Arranged Marriage Multicultural Sports Romance by Jade Styles

Book Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Lucas lost his mom when he was younger. When he tried asking her who his father was, she died. He has never known who his father is. Lucas owns a boxing gym and helps kids with after school care - teaching them about boxing.  Lucas is Hispanic, and has a lot of Hispanic influence in his life. He has never had anything to do with the Mexican mafia / gangs in the area. He's always stayed clear of them.

Serafina is an Italian Mafia princess. She walks into Lucas's boxing gym one day wanting lessons. Lucas isn't too sure about this as he knows at first glance she's going to be trouble. But, trouble that he can't take his eyes off of.  Serafina does love plants and she travels to one of the local greenhouses not too far from Lucas's gym admiring all the plants. She wants to open up her own greenhouse one day.

The book has both Italian and Spanish words, phrases that the characters speak. Not all of those are translated into English - showing what they just said.

Where are they? In one paragraph / chapter they are in California. The next chapter they are in Miami? To me that was confusing, as you can't just drive from California to Miami in 20 minutes.

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
