ARC Book Review - Instinct (Beneath The Blaze #5) by Luna Mason

Book Tropes: Dark Mafia, age gap, Dad’s best friend, former ballerina, bodyguard romance, grumpy x sunshine, and forbidden love.

This book is the final book in the Beneath The Blaze series, but it can be read as a standalone.
 
Lily runs an art gallery. Five years ago she was on stage performing as a ballerina. However, someone broke into her changing room, and tried to attack her. Ever since she's not been able to perform ballet that she loves so much. Ever since the attack she's looked over her shoulder, she is nervous all the time. Lily has panic attacks, she can't ever seem to be 'calm'. Her friends know she has remained scared, and they've tried to keep her safe, keep her company, but, she needs to heal on the inside - her head / mentally also. She was saved by someone who stopped the attack and got her home safely, but she has no memory of who that was. 

Lily's father is in the Russian mafia. He's been in an out of her life growing up, as he is living in Russia mainly. 

Drago Korolyov has been with Lev - Lilly's dad since he was a young child. Her father took him in and raised him to be a bodyguard, and into the mafia world. Working for Lev and his group, Drago has always been the one sent in to the shadows to watch people and to observe. He's been looking after Lily for the past five years. She's never known that he was there watching her. But now, he's out of the shadows and in front of her. 

When Lily needs to go to Monaco to hopefully get an artist signed for her gallery, Drago goes with her, and they kiss. Once they start the romance in Monaco they can't seem to stop, they both have fallen hard for each other. But, when they get back stateside to the real world they live in again, what fate will await them?

  Book Rating:    This is book #2 in the series. You can read book #2 without reading #1 Truly Madly Deeply.  The characters are all explained, who belongs to who. ARC Book Review - Heart of Frost and Scars, (Frozen Fate #3), by Pam Godwin

  Book Rating:  This is the 3rd book in the series, the conclusion of the series. You do need to read the other 2 books prior, as this continues where book 2 left off. We have Leonid, Kody, Frankie and Monty. Monty has opened his home / island to Leonid, Kody & Frankie to live in and recover. The three take the guest house next to the main house Monty is in.  Frankie starts getting text messages and phone calls from a blocked / restricted number. No one is sure who is sending them. Other than she is being watched and the person at the other end knows what everyone in the house is doing.
