  Book Rating:  ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Miles Anderson has a twin sister Eloise. Their mother died when they were born, and they were raised by their grandmother - Gran. Eloise is married to Doug, who is best friends with Miles. Miles is the principal of the high school in the small town of Ember Falls. He tries to be the cool Principal going along with the kids / teachers most of the time. He plays ultimate frisbee with some of his other friends.  Doug was to coach the ice hockey team over the summer, but, he broke his leg when he and Miles were playing ice hockey.  Miles is now the coach for the summer ice hockey team, which he hates because he wanted to go to his summer retreat to the cabin in Michigan, now he has to put that off for another year. ARC Book Review - Playoff (L.A. Phantoms #4), by Kat Mizera

  Book Rating:  One night the bus carrying the NHL hockey the LA Phantom's hits black ice up in Alaska and crashes. No one has died, but, plenty of players have been hurt. Needing more players the NHL team reaches out to the minor league team, calling up Blake and a few other players to the NHL team.  Blake is a hockey player on the Phantom's minor league hockey team in Phoenix. He knows he's one of the older players and he is coming to an end to be able to play in the minor league team.  Rowan works for the same LA Phantom's team, she is one of the physical therapist for the team. Rowan saved a lot of the players after the crash and saved her boss, who also had a heart attack that same night of the bus crash. He was sent away to a boarding school when he was a teenager that specialized in soccer even though he didn't want to go at the time it shaped him into the person he is today. His current team wants him to clean up his image or they are going to let him go. His agent suggests that he works with a local soccer youth team to help improve him image.   Book Rating:  This is book #4 in the series. You can read each as a stand alone. I have read them all so I have the back stories on all the characters, as the books bring everyone back or has mention of them.  Reinaldo Roríguez &  Emiliano Ruiz are both vying for Jasmine.   Book Rating:  Vaughan grew up on the wealthy side of NY / Martha Vineyard crowd. He has always loved football and wants to go into the NFL and play professionally.
