ARC Book Review - Seven Year Itch, (Mountain Men Matchmaker #2), By Amy Daws

Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Book Trope: Enemies to Lovers,  Small Town Romance / Vacation Romances, Quirky Animals, &  Meddling family

Dakota is 33. She owns a T-shirt shop in their small town. She is just recently divorced. She wants to be more adventurous in the bedroom as her ex said she was boring. Since she’s been married she has gained weight and she isn’t her size 6 any more, more like a size 12. She isn’t happy with her body, especially since her ex told her how awful she looks and now she has zero self confidence.

Calder Fletcher is 35. He works with his brothers building eco friendly houses. However he also does live building custom furniture. He wants to break away from the family business and work on his furniture but thinks he will be dishonoring his father’s memory if he does.

Calder is more of a hot head around town. Always a grump, never really connecting with anyone other than his family. Calder is a member of a sex club in Denver, and who does he run into one night, Dakota. Who is the small towns Karen as the dub her.

When Calder’s brother get married in Mexico Calder and Dakota are thrust together in a room to be roommates for the week in. Calder isn’t sure this is a good idea, especially since running into Dakota a few days before.

Calder tries to get out of Dakota why she was in the sex club but she doesn’t share and doesn’t share. Finally she gives in saying she wanted to be more experienced in the bedroom to prove her ex wrong. Calder isn’t sure that’s how she should go about it since many of those members are very experienced.

Will Calder be able to get through to Dakota how beautiful she is? Will Dakota be able to help Calder sell his furniture and break away from his brothers?

I didn’t like how Dakota was so down on herself through much of the book. She wasn’t happy with her weight and how she looks now. It was hard on her to gain the weight and now she’s struggling how she looks in her own skin.

I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
