Book rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beck Weston is a NHL hockey player for the LA hockey team. He loves hockey more than life itself. All he wants to do is skate and win the Stanley Cup one day. That is until he sees Jolie. He knows he wants her in his life. But, being in Boston, on an away game he isn't sure how that is going to work out for them.

Jolie Jameson is a sophomore in college when she first meets Beck at a dive bar in Boston. She and her friend Ginger had gone to the NHL Hockey Game to support their Boston team, however, they lost to the LA team. Who should be in the same bar looking right at Jolie? Beck Weston. She knows him due to her hockey knowledge of being around the teams and games her whole life. She can't believe he's looking at her. They have about a 7 yr age gap. Beck wants to be with Jolie for the next few days while he's in Boston, before they leave for the next away game. Jolie agrees and shows him around Boston, the city she's been in forever and the one that she loves.

Over the next 2 yrs Jolie and Beck text but not that often. When they are in the area the other is supposed to be in they text each other but they never seem to be able to connect.  Then after about 3 yrs of knowing each other Beck spots her at one of his family's night clubs, and can't believe they are in the same city and he goes to her.

But, what is Jolie not telling Beck? Will he leave her for good once he finds out? Will he want to be around her any more? Will he want her to leave?

This book does go on for a bit. The timespan is about 3 yrs in the making.

Thank you to Marni Mann and Valentine PR for allowing me the pleasure to read The Wildest One as an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
