ARC Book Review - Brutal Savage (Savage Kings #2), by Lilian Harris

Book Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is book 2 in my new Irish Mafia series but it can be read as a standalone!

❤️Irish Mafia Standalone ❤️Age Gap ❤️Single Dad ❤️Forced Marriage ❤️"My Wife"

Tynan Quinn, is the son of an Irish mafia mobster. Tynan is in line to replace his father once he retires, only Tynan has to be married to someone of his choosing, or someone will be arranged to marry him. Tynan is now the guardian of his elementary age cousin, Brody, whose parents are now deceased.  Tynan is trying to get Brody to still do his daily activities, soccer, school, but, Brody isn't talking, he's closed off, unfeeling.  Tynan notices that Brody is very at ease with his teacher, Ms. Elara. Tynan asks Elara about working for him after school with Brody to see if she can get him to open up any more.

Elara isn't sure of Tynan's offer at first. She doesn't know who Tynan is. She doesn't realize that he is a mobster, and that he is filthy rich. She knows Brody and wants to help Brody anyway she can. Since Elara is paying for her Grandfather's nursing home she does need the extra money he is offering to help take care of him, and where she can actually pay the rent and eat also.  Elara has a past she isn't willing to share with Tynan, she doesn't want to get involved with someone who could possibly hurt her like she was before.

Tynan doesn't know what happened in Elara's past. Tynan knows that she has been hurt before and she is fearful of it happening again. Tynan asks his men to look into her past to see who may be looking for her and to see if anything pops out of the woodwork.

Tynan and Elara have a rocky start but, after being forced into marriage Elara see's how much Tynan actually does care for her and for Brody.  She learns to trust him, and to lean on him for advice and for help.

A few twists later we learn about Elara's past and find out if Tynan can help her.

I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
