ARC Book Review: Forever Wild (Wildcat Hockey, #5), by Rebecca Jenshak
Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book Trope: Age Gap, He falls first, Teammates little sister, Grumpy vs Sunshine
This is book 5 in the series. You can read each as a standalone. They are intertwined so you do see the same characters throughout each book.
Jack is the Captain of the hockey team. He was in a car crash before the season ended last year so the team didn’t make it to the quarter finals like they should have.
Jack has been side lined over the summer with a broken leg and broken arm. He needs to focus on healing and recovery. Jack is super grumpy at everything and everyone it seems like.
Everly is a ray of sunshine. She house sits for a lot of the players on the hockey team. Getting their mail, pet sitting, watering the plants. Everly is Tyler’s younger sister. All the hockey players grew up with her around since she was 17/18 yrs old. Everly isn’t sure if she should go for an internship with the interior design company. Or if she should think of another career path. She just graduated from college and isn’t sure which path is right for her.
Over the summer Everly stops in at Jack’s house to make sure he is resting and doing physical therapy but all she can see of him dismissing numerous nurses and medical staff stating that he doesn’t want help. Once Everly starts dropping by to use the pool he knows he’s done for. Jack tries to keep her out, but she starts helping him with his email and his schedules and appointments / appearances. He hates to admit it but he does need Everly’s help.
Jack is super rough around the edges but he softens with Everly being around in her little bikinis.
I did receive a free ARC copy of this Book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
