ARC Book Review - The Breakup Plan, by Jennifer Sucevic

Book Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

College Sports / Hockey Romance

Grayson (Grey) McNichols - plays for the college hockey team and is a senior. He has his eyes set on NHL. All he's ever wanted to do is play professional hockey. When he broke his leg and hip, he was told he would never walk without a limp. Then he was told he would never play hockey again. Grey has really worked his way back from this horrible injury to be back to playing at the level he is at.

Grey's parents broke up and divorced last year. He thought they would be getting back together, but, so far they haven't.

Whitney is a senior at the same university as Grey. They actually hooked up when they were freshman and have avoided each other ever since. Whitney lost her mom 9 yrs ago, and her dad has never dated, or been with anyone seriously since. Whitney has noticed that it's harder and harder to get in touch with her dad, usually he always answer her on the same ring.

One night, Whitney and Grey are walking into the same restaurant about the same time. Whitney can't believe they are outside the same place together. However, when they see that their parents are at the same table together, they aren't sure what is going on.  They both find out that Grayson's mom and Whitney's dad are dating (and neither of them is crazy about this). Grayson has the perfect excuse to see Whitney more. He comes up with a plan to break up the parents' relationship. However, that plan is for them to be 'dating'.

Grey and Whitney have feelings for each other, but, it takes fake dating each other for them to realize this. But are they better at just being friends? Or will this fake relationship actually be real?

I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
