Rhodes Volkova is a grumpy hockey player for the Blue Devils team in Chicago.  He has a 5 yr old daughter, Ellie and he can't seem to keep a nanny around, leaving him leaving practices and stressing all the time about her instead of doing his job. The nanny's usually leave his house within a day, no one usually makes it a whole week with them. The nanny's that are sent to him usually wind up in his bed trying to get him instead of watching Ellie.

When he gets a offer to hire a nanny, Sunny, all he can see is her youth, how young she looks. He doesn't even want to give her a chance, but, when a nanny locks his daughter Ellie in her room, he gives in and calls Sunny to help out.

Sunny is a bright young lady.  She had to leave art school to help take care of her Nana and Grampa. She was taking care of another family / boy but, the dad came onto her and she had to leave. Now she's in a new town/city, and wants to be part of a child's life again. She can't read Rhodes at all, everything she does he worries that she is doing it just to come onto him. But Ellie is warming up to him, and Rhodes finally see's that she does care for his daughter.

Rhodes starts having feeling for Sunny and knows he shouldn't. As he told her never to get feelings for him. But now he can't feel protectiveness over her when they are out with his hockey teammates. He wants to be close to her, he wants to be with her. Will Sunny be able to open her heart that she's had shut off?

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
