This is a novella type book length, not a full book.
Troops, Step-siblings, Forced Proximity, Angsty, Forbidden Romance.
Chase Milford is a music prodigy....won a Grammy when he was a teenager. He wants to be a music composer. He plays the piano and violin. He can create music out of thin air. His world came crashing down about a year ago, when his mother died. Now his dad is getting remarried, and who is coming to join him at his school? His new soon to be step-sister, who will also be sharing his massive dorm room. Chase has never wanted for anything in his life. He's has always had the best money could buy, including his mom's favorite country club on the weekends.
Melody Wessex grew up with hardly anything. She's been working since she was 12 yrs old. Her mom has always had bartending / waitressing jobs. Melody can sing very well, and is in love with this new school she is going to, but, not very impressed with having to be in the same room with Chase.
Melody & Chase are drawn to each other. They are assigned to work together in one of the classes. Guess it's good to work with your roommate on an assignment, you can always work on it in your room. Is it wrong for Chase to want Melody even though they just met, and are not related by 'blood'?
Chase has been trying to figure out how his mom died. She wouldn't have done what the police said. She didn't drink, she didn't do drugs, but, she died so young. He's hired a private detective to help him look for any clue's that his dad had something to do with the mom's death. But, so far he's coming up empty.
I did receive a free ARC Book Copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
