ARC book Review - The Rules of Dating (The Law of Opposites Attract #1), Penelope Ward , & Vi Keeland
Book Rating:

Billie works in a tattoo shop on the main level of a building in New York City. The building is now owned by a new group. Since the AC keeps going out she calls and who comes out to fix her AC? The handsome man she casually met a few days before when she was throwing her then boyfriend a birthday party with his other 'women' that she found out about. Billie has a unique goth type style, skits, with a corset top. Billie loves tattooing and working on all the people that she does. She has a lot of repeat customers. She also have a lot of new customers. Billie is also a great artist, who does do gallery shows at her mom's studio. She does sell some of her work also. Billie has had a hard dating scene on her hands. She's is wary of men, and what they may / may not want from her. She doesn't date everyone that comes along.
Colby Lennon and his 3 other friends own a building complex that they also live in. Being on the younger side and being business owners is quite a feet in it's self, let alone NYC real estate. Colby also has a 4 yr old daughter. He had a one night stand and wound up with his daughter on the doorstep when she was about 6 weeks old. His mom helped him a lot at that time in his life. The mother never came back for either of them, just abandoned the little girl. Four years later, he gets a knock on his door, and it's the mother of his child, wanting a marriage so she could become a US Citizen. Colby says he won't do it at first. Then he thinks about his daughter, and how it would be nice for her to have a mother in her life again.
This book was heading in one direction then took off in another. I wish they would have stayed with the first direction it was heading in. The book was on the long side, more story line that wasn't needed.
I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
