Wilder went to college out in California. He was a professional baseball player, was in the league for 5 yrs. He went back to his hometown after he retired, and became a full time fire fighter, now a captain on the force. He plays baseball on the rec leagues in town, with the same guys he played baseball with in high school.  Wilder found out that he has a 6 yr old daughter, Cricket. He was tracked down by Cricket's mother's parents who are another town over about 1 hr away. 

Cassie went away to England, to go to Oxford University for her college degree. She had always wanted to become a teacher. And now she is back in their hometown teaching 1st grade. Why go to Oxford to get a degree to become a 1st grade teacher?  Confused on that.

Cassie & Wilder have been together since they were in 8th grade. When they were 18 they went to Las Vegas with a set of friends. What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas.  Cassie & Wilder have always been meant to be, but, sometimes life gets in the way.
