ARC Book Review - Off the Ice (Blades & Hearts #1), by Emily Campbell

Book Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ava is a newspaper reporter. She usually does fluff pieces on local events and teams. When her boss says there might be a story with the hockey golden boy Logan she jumps at the chance to interview him. Something he hardly gives out.

Logan plays for the Chicago NHL hockey team. Hockey is all he's ever known. All he's ever loved. Ice Hockey. He plays for himself and for his teammates. He loves working together as a team. Lately he's been getting into trouble with the team by being around too many ladies.

Ava has finally gotten an interview with Logan when they first meet up at the ice rink offices.  Logan proposes that they date so it'll keep him out of trouble with the league, and she can ask all of her newspaper interview questions to him. Once Ava and Logan start hanging out the lines start to blur on what is real what isn't real. Ava has a story that she's working on that someone with Logan's hockey team is beating on the team. She's not sure who yet. But, she doesn't want to take anything to Logan until she's sure. The more she digs though the more things unravel.

Will Logan be able to keep a lid on what Ava is looking into? Will Ava find out who has been betting on the team?
