ARC Book Review - Bend the Pucking Rules (Ice Lords #2) by Rachel Leigh
Book Rating:

This book does start at the end of where Book #1 - Break Your Pucking Heart finishes up. You do need to read the books in order.
Callan Cromwell always called Avery his Little Devil. At the end of Book #1, Callan & Avery are involved in a car wreck. Callan is in the ICU at the hospital and in a coma. The hospital staff aren't sure if he will walk again, or if he will even wake up. Will Callan be able to help the Ice Lords once he wakes up? Will he want to help Avery?
Aidric is another bully towards Avery. However, he can still see the line that they are with Avery. He doesn't want to cross that line. But, he is gentle with her also. When he tells her she is wearing his shirt in the middle of the night, he wants it back and demand her take it off. Aidric thinks he's just going to get a slap across the face, but, instead she takes the shirt off and hands it to him, exposing her breasts in the moonlight. Aidric didn't expect that boldness out of her!
Sebastian always calls Avery his Little Lamb. Sebastian was very guarded against Avery in Book #1. He was a huge bully towards her. Now that Callan is in the hospital, he knows the threat against Avery is still out there. Sebastian gives in and helps protect her. But, being close to her means he's around her, and he likes it. Sebastian suggests Avery move into the hockey house so they can keep an eye on her. But, being in close quarters to Avery makes him mad with desire. Why does Avery still pine for Callan when he's right across the hall from her? Doesn't she know what she does to him?
Avery, is heart broken of seeing Callan in the hospital. She doesn't know what to do. When Callan wakes up he remembers Avery from before. He doesn't seem to remember the past 2 or 3 months they've been together. Avery wants to be true and faithful to Callan, but, being around Sebastian all the time she can't help but give into him. Will Callan still want her if he can remember her?
This book was filled with mystery, twists and turns and spice. The guys can't figure out who is out to get them and Avery. Who keeps teasing them? This book is on the longer side. It could have been split in half. I did feel that the story line got a bit muddled.....we were onto one story but the guys and Avery created a new side story.
I did receive a free book copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest book post.
