ARC Book Review - The Wolf by Leah Holt

Poppy grew up in a very wealthy family. Her father has been CEO of a pharmaceutical facility as long as she can remember. She's never wanted for anything, except love. Her mother died when she was younger and she didn't have much from her father. She went to work at the  pharmaceutical building when she was a teenager. We don't know if she was in private school/prep or home school. Nothing was written about her education.  Piper is usually around at large fundraiser events, mainly for arm candy for her father to show her off. 


Vega meets Poppy one night at an event the pharmaceutical company is throwing. He sees  Poppy in her red dress, and they dance together. Vega is instantly taken with her. When he leaves her after the dance he knows that one dance won't be enough with her. Once he finds her again in the back of someone's car in the trunk he knows he must protect her. Which is something he wasn't hired to do, he was hired to do the opposite, then he met her and fell for her. 

Will Vega be able to keep Poppy safe? Will Poppy believe what Vega tells her about her father?

ARC Book Review - Bad Bishop, (Society of Villains #1), LJ Shen

  Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lila Ferrante, grew up with everyone thinking she had the mind of a 5 year old. Her mother told everyone she was simple minded. Lila grew up as the baby of the family, her older brothers didn’t really spend time with her as she only played with the dolls her mother allowed her to play with. Lila and her mother would go away every summer where she would be tutored in languages, art, history, and she could just be herself on their summer get aways. ARC Book Review - Twisted Pawn (Society of Villains, #2) by L.J. Shen

  Book Rating:    We meet most of the same characters from Book 1, Bad Bishop. I recommend reading book 1, Bad Bishop as the characters, history are explained. Book 2, picks up where Bad Bishop leaves off.      Book Tropes:  Enemies to Lovers, Second Chance, Morally grey hero,  Obsessed , Stalker, Slow Burn.  Tierney Callaghan & Achilles  met when they were teenagers and they were mostly together dating in secret through their high school days. Tierney and  Tiernan Callaghan  are twins. They were taken as babies and raised in a Russian work camp. They both have  trauma   from that experience. Both were raised as killers and can fight with the best of them. Tierney doesn't need the bodyguards Achilles makes guard her, she's her own bodyguard.
