ARC Book Review - Handsome Devil (Forbidden Love #3), by L.J. Shen

 






Gia Bennett is 26 years old. She works as a personal assistant (PA) to Mr.  Tatum Blackthorne, she's been with him the past few years. She's never initiated any romantic feelings towards him, or her to him. However, Tate has always been there when she's needed him.

Tatum (Tate) Blackthorne grew up in an orphanage during his younger life. When he was 10 he was adopted by a wealthy business man and grew up in a very wealthy society after that. Tate was always doing school work years above his actual level. He was tortured growing up in the orphanage by those around him who were jealous. Once he was adopted he didn't go to school, the wealthy businessman took him under his wing, and home schooled him. Taught him about his business, made him shadow him at home and work. Tate is a math genius, often solving math equations just for fun. 

Tate has always enjoyed Gia's company. He keeps her as a PA because he doesn't want her far from him. Tate wants to be around Gia, but, doesn't know how to actually ask her out. When Gia comes to him for a favor, he inserts himself into her life and knows how he will get her after she agrees to his terms that is. 

Tate has friends and he has enemies. He currently has enemies with the Irish mob. But, is friends with another mob a rival group. The Irish mob is now after Gia and Tate has surrounded her with bodyguards, something she hates of course.  

There is a lot of ADHD / OCD tendencies in this book.

  Book Rating:    This is book #2 in the series. You can read book #2 without reading #1 Truly Madly Deeply.  The characters are all explained, who belongs to who. Dylan Casablancas has liked Rhyland ever since they were teenagers. But, with her brother being his best friend she knows she will never be able to date him.
