ARC Book Review - Shadow's Protection (Hurricane Heat MC Book 1), by Chelle Bliss
Book Rating:

Shadow is the VP for the Hurricane Heat MC. He went to a local hotel to get the money from someone, who didn't have the money of course. During the argument between the two Violet comes in looking for a hotel room. The hotel clerk states nothing is available hoping to get her out of the hotel quickly. Which makes her ask more questions.
Violet James is moving to Tampa for a new job, as a librarian at the local high school. However, the hurricane weather has her looking for a hotel to spend the night in to ride out the storm. The hotel she stops at doesn't have any rooms, but one of the guys in front of her can't stop staring. He offers her a room at his place if she will give him a ride. Shadow doesn't want to continue on his bike in the storm. She agrees, Shadows puts his bike in the hotel entryway or covered patio so it hopefully won't get too much damage from the storm. Violet lets Shadow drive since he might have more experience with the rain / wind than she does. With this weather it has her jumping out of her skin with the thunder and rain.
Once Shadow and Violet get to his place, she notices that it is full of bikers, and women. What kind of place did he bring her to? She is just a shy librarian; she doesn't belong in a place like this. As they walk deeper into the warehouse type building the more people they see with more and more clothing being removed. They get to Shadow's room and he locks the door. He tells her not to let anyone in if it isn't him. This is Shadow protecting her.
Shadow doesn't know what to do with Violet in his MC world. She doesn't belong with him. But, he is drawn to her and wants to get to know her more. The next few days they get to know each other while being cooped up in the building. Violet realizes that the women in the club house and the men aren't as bad as she was thinking they were. She really takes a liking to a few members at the club house. After the storm, she and Shadow part, she knows she needs to get back into the real world, and get to her new job and new condo. The only thing is her ex keeps calling and texting her. Should she ask Shadow for help? Will he be able to protect her from her ex? Will Shadow be able to help her? Or will Violet's shyness get in the way?
