ARC Book Review - Stand Your Ground by Kandi Steiner

Livia is 32 years old. She has her own dental practice in the Tampa area, that works for the NHL hockey team. She is a on call dentist for them during the year whenever they need her. She is a dominant. She doesn’t really do relationships. She has had a few subs but isn’t with anyone right now.
Livia’s parents basically kicked her out of their house after she graduated high school. They didn’t help pay for her college or anything. She does have a younger sister who has a better relationship with her parents and is engaged. Livia is torn on if she should be in the wedding or not go at all. She wants to be there for her sister but not be by her parents, she’s torn.
Carter Fabri, is 26 year old and is a younger hockey player on the NHL team. He has just competed his rookie season and is now a permanent NHL team Member. He grew up in the junior hockey league with a coach who always berated him and the other players. He’s never sure if he’s good enough. He has a lot of self doubt from being put down so much.
Livia and Carter run is the same friend group circle. The friends always tease Carter on how Livia would destroy him if he ever tried to date her. But for Carter Livia is the only one he wants. He’s liked her and flirted with her for a few years now. Nothing has ever happened between them. But maybe Carter can get Livia to ‘teach’ him.
