ARC Book Review - Mountain Men Matchmaker #3 Honeymoon Phase: A Marriage-of-Convenience Romantic Comedy for Fans of Witty Banter and Friends-to-Lovers Tropes by Amy Daws

Book Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is the 3rd book in the series. You can read each as a standalone as the characters are explained. You can read each in the series also.

Addison “Roe” Monroe works at the towns lumber yard her grandfather and father worked in. The trust for the lumbermill states that Addison has to be married for 1 yr in order for her to inherit it.  Addison is looking at random lumberjack Mountain men who she doesn't have feelings for and wants someone she could 'tolerate' for a week or two weeks a month. Addison doesn't sleep very well - more of a insomniac. She makes sourdough bread loaves when she doesn't sleep. She had a 1 bedroom apartment in town, so she doesn't drive that far to the lumber mill.

Luke Fletcher is the youngest of the Fletcher brothers. He has a niece, Everly who is all about match making. Luke has liked his best friend Addison for a few years. Nothing has ever happened between them, as he doesn't want to lose her as a friend. But, he does have more than friend feelings for her. Luke knows Addison wants a lumberjack to possibly marry. He starts working with Everly on training for the lumberjack events. He is trying to impress Addison that he is trying and he hopes that she 'see's' him for more than just a friend.

When Addison realizes that Luke wants to marry her so she will be safe and not with a stranger, she asks Luke to marry her. They want to keep each other at arms length. Addison doesn't want to let people in. She doesn't want to get hurt. She wants to just be friends living across the hall from one another. But will one kiss show her how Luke really feels about her? Will Addison be able to open her heart to Luke? Will their 'non' romance lead to more?
