ARC Book Review - Naughty and Nice, (Brutual Vows), by Aleatha Romig
Book Rating:

This novella continues from the Brutal Vows series.
Liliana Ruiz was married to Gerardo. She's been a widow now for 2 years and she's only 21 years old. She never saw herself getting remarried. She wasn't sure what man her father or the cartel leader, would force her to marry. Liliana has never been put first in her marriage, or growing up in her father's house. She wants to go to the local community college, but, she isn't sure if she needs to ask RorÃguez Cartel Dom for permission, since she's a widow, or if she can just enroll. Liliana has a lot of self doubt. She doesn't believe herself worthy of consideration from the Dom or from anyone. She doesn't see her worth/value.
Nick Ruiz is one of the top lieutenants in the cartel. He is seeing his cousins / co-workers getting larger jobs / better titles than he is because they are married. Nick never saw himself being married, but, maybe he needs to start thinking of getting married.
When they go on lockdown again because of a war with another cartel, he knows no one is looking after Liliana. He knows his uncle's widow doesn't have anyone to protect her. Even though he is 10 yrs older than she is and she's not technically his 'aunt' any longer with Gerardo dead should he be thinking of her in a marriage way?
Nick goes to Liliana to see if she would be interested in marriage to him. At first he states just in name only, even though they share the same last name. But, after he has been around her more he doesn't just want to be her roommate, he wants the full marriage between them. They both then go to RorÃguez Cartel Dom for permission to marry. He agrees to let them marry as long as that is what Liliana wants as well.
Will Nick be able to keep Liliana safe? Will he be able to prove to her that she is worth someone's love and affection?
This is a short novella length novella.
