ARC Book Review - Attacking the Zone, (Sierra Hockey #5), by Elise Faber

Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kylie Connors is the younger sister of the Sierra’s General Manager, Damon Connors. She grown up around hockey and the players. She is a middle school History Teacher and she helps out with the Sierra hockey team.

Colt Madden is on the Sierra’s hockey team. He’s liked Kylie for 2 yrs now but never seems able to talk with her when others are around. Colt has a younger brother who is very sick. He needs to be hooked up on oxygen all the time. He could die at any point. They are close but their mother tries to dampen their relationship.

Colt started letting the air out of the tires on Kylie’s cars usually she is in the last turn by her apartment complex and needs his help to fix it so she can get home. This is their only alone time. Kylie is able to talk with Colt and they are able to connect.

When Kylie losses control of her car one night due to a tire popping Colt realizes messing with her tires was t the smartest thing to do. They start texting and hanging out. Colt is able to help her grade her students papers and able to spend time with her.

Kylie is very standoffish. She doesn’t like being alone with men, except her brother. They make her uneasy. But being close with Colt has been fine they haven’t had any issues. Colt is always good with keeping his distance and not ‘crowding’ her.

Will Colt be able to see his brother? Will his parent acknowledge and finally accept him? Will Colt and Kylie be able to have a relationship even with her over protective brother??

I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
