Juliet - has been working random jobs for awhile. She wants to be either PR firm. But all people seem to see with her is her boobs. No one seems to take her professionally seriously. She wants a shot to prove herself but no o e will give her a chance.
When Juliet states Hunter needs a ‘fake’ fiancée she doesn’t mean her. But she wants to please the hockey team and this could be a door in with them if she’s able to get Hunter to calm down and start behaving on and off the ice.
Hunter Huxley - plays professional hockey for a team in Washington State. His 2 brothers also play on the same team. Their dad died when they were younger. They are estranged from their mother. Who seemed to only care for Hunter and his hockey money growing up. Hunter went to college with Juliet and her ex boyfriend. They were in the same circles back in college but never really did anything together. Hunter always made it seem that he hated Juliet, always pushing her away. He would always state negative things about her to guys and teammates. But was it because he secretly liked her going through college?
Now that Juliet and Hunter are with the same NHL Hockey team, they are ‘seeing’ each other doing the whole ‘fake’ fiancée thing. But secretly Juliet seems to like Hunter. She calms him in a way no one else seems to be able to.
Is the bad boy of hockey going to turn over a new leaf? Is Hunter ready to make a change in his life to cut out the pain and the hurt he’s suffered from for so long??
This book was a bit on the long side. The author did a great job with keeping the storyline going throughout the book.
