ARC Book Review - Grumpily Ever After (Stick Taps #1), by Teagan Hunter

Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Odette Chambers is a wedding planner. But, lately her wedding planning has taken a hit. One wedding the flower boquet the bride to be carried turns out she was allergic to those and wound up having an allergic reaction. Not Odette's fault, the florists fault really. The last wedding, the reception caught fire, due to the chaffing dishes and the burners catching something on fire, which was something the caterer  did, and wasn't Odette's fault. But, she is still being blamed. She is hoping that with Izzy's wedding nothing bad will happen, and everything will go smoothly. Although working with Noah the grump may put the wedding in jeopardy if he doesn't figure out how to get happy.

Noah Stevens is a former NHL hockey player, now he runs a local cidery in their home town. Noah is 12 yrs older than his little sister, Izzy and her best friend Odette. He was already playing professional hockey when they were in high school. Odette has always been off limits as she is his little sisters best friend. But, Noah has always looked / wanted Odette, she is very beautiful, and she's also 12 yrs younger than he is.

Izzy Stevens is recently engaged and wants to marry in 10 weeks. She asks Noah if they can use the cidery "Stick Tap" and barn to hold their wedding. He refuses. Until his business partner, Ezra, says it would be great to have a wedding there, so, they can advertise for furture events and make more during 'wedding time.'  Noah is totally against this idea. Noah can't ever seem to say no to Izzy, if he does say yes, he knows he would see Odette daily, something he's not against.

Noah has some past issues he’s been working on. Is he  good enough? Something his ex always stated he wasn’t good enough. Now he’s trying to work on himself and be happy. Odette has issues with being in a relationship. She thinks she is doomed to have a bad relationship. But she wants to be with Noah. But he’s her best friends brother and 12 yrs older! Will they be able to work?
