ARC Book Review - Intercepted (The Coopers), by Aleatha Romig

Book Trope: Young College love. Second chance romance. Sports Romance. Family legacy drama. Slow burn. Cliffhanger. 

Griffin (Fin) Graham - 36, is considered ‘old’ in the NFL world he is in. Fin left the University of Kentucky after he and Vee had been dating. Once he was at the new college he found out she was The NFL Coopers heiress. Fin was upset that Vee never told him who her family was. But, when she was a student at University of Kentucky Vee never told anyone who her family was. Fin and Vee haven't been in contact in over 15 years, but, he's always known she was the one who got away. He's always had relationships, but, nothing has ever lasted. He's never wanted anyone like how he wants Vee. 

Maeve (Vee) Cooper went to University of Kentucky for college where she met Fin the year she interned on the football team.  Now 15 yrs later he’s on her dad’s football team for temporary position for a year. Her Dad and family have owned  NFL team in Louisville, KY ever since her grandfather bought the team back in the 70’s. Vee is a heiress to a NFL Legacy. Vee is pouring all her time into learning the ins and outs of the football side of the team. She’s got the business side down - marketing and communications, but her dad wants her to know the team and football dynamics as well. She starts off with learning the play book for the offensive team. Vee has always attended the games and sat in the owners suites. Now she's on the fields, as plays are being called a mile a minute. She can't seem to watch and learn at the same time during the 1st game. But, she starts learning more about the offensive team and all the plays that they are doing. 

Will Vee be able to tell her family about Fin? Will Fin be able to handle being a back up quarterback? Or will he be put in as the main quarterback? 

Ends with a cliffhanger.

ARC Book Review - Twisted Pawn (Society of Villains, #2) by L.J. Shen

  Book Rating:    We meet most of the same characters from Book 1, Bad Bishop. I recommend reading book 1, Bad Bishop as the characters, history are explained. Book 2, picks up where Bad Bishop leaves off.      Book Tropes:  Enemies to Lovers, Second Chance, Morally grey hero,  Obsessed , Stalker, Slow Burn.  Tierney Callaghan & Achilles  met when they were teenagers and they were mostly together dating in secret through their high school days. Tierney and  Tiernan Callaghan  are twins. They were taken as babies and raised in a Russian work camp. They both have  trauma   from that experience.
