Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book Trope: slow burn, contemporary romance, emotional baggage, slow burn, career driven female, awkward first dates, work travel romance.
Brianna Whitmore, travels 26 weeks a year, she is wildly competent in her career. She can implement complex software systems without blinking. She is constantly traveling for her. Her married best friend, Sara is worried about her, and proposes she goes on 12 dates with 12 different guys, and sets her up with a Tender profile to make these date connections. One man contacted her through the dating app and they met for a lunch / garden walk through in NYC. They had a connection and start texting on and off. They meet again in San Antonio for a movie date. He claims to be a hotel investor and claims to have a few hotels he is working.
Brianna had a heartbreak years ago and hasn't been 'out there' in the dating world since her heartbreak. She doesn't want to be 'seen'. When her friend Sara pushes her to do the 12 dates she isn’t sure what / who she will find. Brianna is always on the go always in a different city each week for work. Another man she dated turns out she is the side piece after being confronted by the wife at the restaurant. Are all men just out to get her? She can’t seem to find a decent one.
The hotel she stays at in San Antonio she is always greeted by Javier and the hotel staff are always so nice to her. Javier and Brianna have a connection. She thinks Javier is a front desk worker at the hotel. But he never shares what role in the hotel he actually has. Will he be able to confront Brianna??
Who will win Brianna's heart? Will she let herself be open to dating and 'feeling's'? Brianna has been closed off awhile and dating helps her open herself up again. But is she just opening herself up again for more heart ache?
