She is currently separated from her husband and living back home with her parents. Lindsey put her college life and work life on hold while her then husband got his degree's.
Brooks gets a few recommendations from teammates about a nanny, Lindsey is who everyone kept recommending to him. Brooks finds out that this is the same lady who was kind enough to help him at the store. They hit things off and she agrees to be a nanny for him. But, with his crazy baseball schedule, they agree that her and her boys living with him would be a better option than her dropping by every day. Once they are moved in and all living together, they seem to connect more as a family unit. Brooks starts getting feelings towards Lindsey, but, she is more cautious of not wanting to go 'public' with their relationship as her divorce isn't finalized.
