ARC Book Review - If You Keep Me (Toronto Terror #6), by Helena Hunting

Book Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Book Trope: slow burn, age gap, hockey, coaches daughter

Flip (Phillip) Madden plays NHL for the Toronto Terror hockey team. He is 29 almost 30 yrs old. He's had playboy ways in the past. But, the last two or three years he hasn't dated/hasn't 'hooked' up and he's been good, just going out with his friends.

Tally (TallulahVander Zee  is the daughter of Toronto Terror's head Coach Vander Zee . She interned with the Terror group when she was a 12th grader in high school. She loves working for the team. She made a lot of friends within that group she was always around. Tally is 21 almost 22, she is finishing up her senior year at the university in Dance. She is hoping to get on with a Toronto dance trope after graduation. She and Flip are always together hanging out with the same friend group. Tally has had a crush on Flip since she was 16 yrs old. Nothing has ever happened between them  they are just friends. Tally has been dating some college guys, but never connecting with them. She likes hanging out with the Terror group - even though they are all older than her they have brought her in as she belongs with them.

Tally suggests something to Flip, but, he tells her no. Then Tally & Flip start texting over book recommendations, and they start texting more and more. Then Flip realizes that he likes being around Tally, he wants to be with her when they aren't together during the week. They start seeing each other. Flip does ask Tally's daddy, Coach Vander Zee for his permission to date his daughter. But, also tells the HR department with the hockey team. Everyone is surprised when they take that next 'dating' step, but no one is 'shocked' by it either. They have been friends for a few years now, and this seems like the next step for both of them.

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book from the Author Helena Hunting. I am freely leaving a honest book review.
