This is the third book is the Chicago Railers Hockey Series

Oliver Van Dore has played NHL hockey for the Chicago Railers, and loves playing for the team. He has siblings, and a mom he loves. They lost his dad when he was a teenager and his older brother took over the role of the 'father' after theirs past. He has fallen for Rina, but, she doesn't trust men due to her mother's beliefs. Will Oliver be able to put his trust out there for Rina to see how much he cares for her and how much he loves her? Or will she just push him away? 

Rina is the NHL Chicago Railers Hockey Team Public Relations manager. She has been working for the team 4 years and absolutely loves working for them. Rina and Oliver 'The Big O' have always had a hate / hate relationship. Until recently. The past 2 years Oliver has been going out of his way to make Rina uncomfortable. She always tells him how awful he is and to stop his flirting. But, recently Oliver has been breaking down Rina's walls more and more, until she gives in. Rina grew up with parents who divorced. Her mother was anti-man, and always stood for how women should be their own boss, women can be just as good as a man. So, Rina has always believed she could be her own boss, and work her own way to the top, which she has. Now with Oliver she doesn't want to lean into him, but, she can't stay away from him either. 

Oliver and Rina aren't supposed to be dating due to the Non-Fraternization policy with the hockey team. But, of course Oliver goes around that rule and pursues Rina. Rina doesn't want to fall for Oliver, but, she can't help it.

ARC Book Review - Twisted Pawn (Society of Villains, #2) by L.J. Shen

  Book Rating:    We meet most of the same characters from Book 1, Bad Bishop. I recommend reading book 1, Bad Bishop as the characters, history are explained. Book 2, picks up where Bad Bishop leaves off.      Book Tropes:  Enemies to Lovers, Second Chance, Morally grey hero,  Obsessed , Stalker, Slow Burn.  Tierney Callaghan & Achilles  met when they were teenagers and they were mostly together dating in secret through their high school days. Tierney and  Tiernan Callaghan  are twins. They were taken as babies and raised in a Russian work camp. They both have  trauma   from that experience.
