ARC Book Review - Devil's Beat (Book 3 in Devil's Halo Rockstar Romance Series) by Michelle Windsor

Book Tropes: Rockstar Romance, Drummer, Opposites attract, Slow burn, Friends to lovers, Close proximity, Found family. 

Michael (Mikey) Sarris, is the lead drummer of Devil’s Halo. Mikey is also Dean's brother, the guitarist for the band. Now that Dean and Sadie are together, Mikey isn't sure where he belongs. Mikey always seems to be doing something to keep his hands / mind busy. When he gets to thinking too much he spirals, and then over thinks, and over worries about things that aren't in his control. When he meets Quinn in New York she quiets his chaos. A calm comes over him when they meet and are together. 

Quinn Brooks is sister, who we met in book #2, Devil's Riff, she is Sadie  sister, who is the photo journalist who has been with the band the past few months while they've been on tour. Quinn met Sadie and the band in New York when they did the show there. Quinn and Mikey had some heated moments of watching each other through that weekend. 

Quinn has a new job opportunity in Chicago, where her sister, Sadie and her boyfriend are now that the tour is over. Quinn takes the job but isn't sure where she should live, and while living with Sadie and Dean is nice, it is too far from her job in the city. Mikey steps up and suggests he take his extra room in his apartment which would be closer for her commute. Quinn isn't sure at first, but she knows living 3 train stops away from her job is going to be fantastic instead of the 2 hrs from Sadie's. 

Quinn and Mikey are drawn to each other. But, Quinn doesn't want anything to happen between them as she isn't sure about the apartment / rent / living situation. Mikey is trying to gain her trust and for her to see him. But, she keeps missing the connection he wants to share with her. 

Will Mikey and Quinn be able to connect on a romantic level? Or will Quinn win out and keep their relationship friendly?

  Book Rating:    This is book #2 in the series. You can read book #2 without reading #1 Truly Madly Deeply.  The characters are all explained, who belongs to who. ARC Book Review - Heart of Frost and Scars, (Frozen Fate #3), by Pam Godwin

  Book Rating:  This is the 3rd book in the series, the conclusion of the series. You do need to read the other 2 books prior, as this continues where book 2 left off. We have Leonid, Kody, Frankie and Monty. Monty has opened his home / island to Leonid, Kody & Frankie to live in and recover. The three take the guest house next to the main house Monty is in.  Frankie starts getting text messages and phone calls from a blocked / restricted number. No one is sure who is sending them. Other than she is being watched and the person at the other end knows what everyone in the house is doing. Frankie now has a stalker.  Leonid and Kody seem to be adapting well to living in Sitka and the area.
