ARC Book Review - Sweet Spot, By Staci Hart
Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book Trope: he falls first. Grumpy vs sunshine. Age gap.
Grey Brooks - is 44, the high school shop and baseball coach. He also coaches the teacher softball team during the evenings. Grey has lived in the small town his whole life often spending his younger years living with his grandmother. His parents were addicts and he never knew day to day if they would be sober or not. He learned how to check for body pulses when he was 5 years old. So, he just spent time with his grandmother and ultimately moving in with her.
Grey has never really had a long term relationship with. He’s dated on and off. But never had anyone stick around. His school teaching schedule and coaching schedule can be a bit much and he was never sure he could give someone the time they would need during baseball season.
Molly is 24, and an elementary school librarian. She just moved to the small town and loves it. Her house is a money pit. She has tried to learn how to fix / repair things but can never get anything right. She can’t afford a handyman. But she is trying to do what she can with repairs.
Molly has volunteered to play in the softball teacher league. But she isn’t sporty at all. Grey volunteered to help her after practices so she can learn how to catch, throw and hit. Secretly Molly is loving the attention from him. Molly has never dated, never had a boyfriend, never been kissed and is still a virgin. Her parents really sheltered her. They didn’t want her going away to college they wanted her to live at home and commute daily to college.
Will Molly be able to convince Grey she needs help learning how to kiss? Will Grey be able to convince Molly to let him help her make repairs on the house? Will Molly be able to come out of her shell??
I did receive a free ARC Copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest book review.
