This is the 3rd book in the series. You can read as a standalone, or in book order. I love seeing the back stories of all the characters throughout the multiple books. 

Brooks Dempsey grew up with Grey Adler, who is dating Astrid - who is one of Audrey's best friends, who we met in Play Me, book # 1. Brooks and Grey both grew up in Sugar Creek, TN. One small town and two extraordinary athletes came out of that small town. Brook is a boxer, has been fighting for a while. But, lately after his shoulder injury, he's not sure if being in the ring is what he wants any more. We don't know much about Brooks's past life in the ring. He is back in the small-town healing from a shoulder injury. He has a fat orange cat - Otis, who seems like he would rival Garfield in chubbiness!

Audrey Van has escaped the rush of the city life of Nashville and headed to her friend's small town to their house to see if she can find herself. Audrey is afraid of sleeping in the dark, she is more of a quite mouse person. She has her doctorate degree in Philosophy. When Audrey meets Brooks, they can't seem to quit looking at each other. She knows there is no way a man like him would ever want a book worm like her. Why would he? 

When Brooks looks at Audrey's computer one day he sees a 'whimsical list' she's created. He wants to help her check a few things off of that list. He can't see anyone else 'helping' her complete the list. 

Will Audrey and Brooks be able to be together even after her brother threatens him? Will Brooks go back into the ring to fight?

  Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lila Ferrante, grew up with everyone thinking she had the mind of a 5 year old. Her mother told everyone she was simple minded. ARC Book Review - Heart of Frost and Scars, (Frozen Fate #3), by Pam Godwin

  Book Rating:  This is the 3rd book in the series, the conclusion of the series. You do need to read the other 2 books prior, as this continues where book 2 left off. We have Leonid, Kody, Frankie and Monty. Monty has opened his home / island to Leonid, Kody & Frankie to live in and recover. The three take the guest house next to the main house Monty is in.  Frankie starts getting text messages and phone calls from a blocked / restricted number. No one is sure who is sending them. Other than she is being watched and the person at the other end knows what everyone in the house is doing. Frankie now has a stalker.  Leonid and Kody seem to be adapting well to living in Sitka and the area. They are going out in public, and doing normal things.  The 2 now have cell phones thanks to Monte, and have been learning about the new technology. Leonid & Kody are fiercely protective of Frankie.
