ARC Book Review: Forged in the Fire, (Crimson Crows #1), by AL Jackson

Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Book Tropes: Grumpy MC, Bikers, Brother’s Nemesis, Enemies to Lovers, Small Town, Band of Brothers, Secret Society

Brinley Webber has been dropped at the gates of the Crimson Tides MC club by her brother Dereck. What has he gotten himself into now? Why is he giving her to these men? What danger is her brother in or is she in? Brinley doesn’t understand what is going on other than her brother just delivered her to these bikers in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night. Usually Brinley can clean up her brother’s messes without too much trouble. But now she isn’t sure.

Silas Mercer is the president of the Crimson Tides MC. He has told the men about Brinley coming to stay with them and they are to stay away from her and that she’s off limits. That’s all the information he gives out to the men. Silas knows Dereck works both sides - he can’t ever seem to tell the truth. On the MC property Silas has the clubhouse for the guys and the girls that are always around. He also has 2 houses set back separately, his house and his VP’s house. Silas has his grandmother, his sister - Elena, and his baby brother - Kai he rescued just a few months ago.

Silas has Brinley working in the shop looking at his books and putting receipts and accounts in order. He knows she won’t sit still on the property so he gives her a job and also he can keep an eye on her during the day. Brinley isn’t afraid of Silas and she knows how to push his buttons.

Elena and Brinley seem to take to each other right away. Maybe it’s their past traumas that bring them close in a short amount of time.

Will Brinley be able to find out what is going on with her brother and Crimson Crows? What is Silas going to do with Brinley defying him all the time? Will he be able to make her see how he’s fallen for her?

Stand Out Book Quotes:
