ARC Book Review - Left Field (The Bradley Legacy Book 5) by Lisa Suza

Archer Bradley is a professional baseball player.  After he signed a document his father coerced him into signing, he finds out that he is now on a 40 game suspension away from baseball. He decides to go down to the Bahamas to spend a month in the sun and be alone. He doesn't like being on his phone, texting, calling. He is worried about those who are out to use him for his fame or for his money. Archer is on the mend after his ex, Tatum falls for his brother Ford. He and Tatum had been on and off together for seven years. Now that she married his brother he's not sure where either relationships lie. 

 

Millie gets an offer from a resort in the Bahamas to come down for a month to create content and help bring up the ratings on their resort. Millie is trying to be a travel influencer, and she is usually on her phone, either editing videos / photos to post later. She does live feeds but she isn't getting her numbers where the resort wants her to be. When Millie sees Ford and Tatum at the resort at the restaurant with Archer she knows she needs to save him. They have been together on and off at the resort but she helps him through the dinner with his brother and his ex. 

 

Through the month they have been spending more and more time together on excursions, on dates, in the bedroom. They both have feelings for each other, but, know this relationship is also only supposed to be a month long. What will happen when they go back stateside back to their homes? Will Archer be able to get over Millie always being on the phone? Will Millie realize there is more than just being on the phone?

ARC Book Review - Twisted Pawn (Society of Villains, #2) by L.J. Shen

  Book Rating:    We meet most of the same characters from Book 1, Bad Bishop. I recommend reading book 1, Bad Bishop as the characters, history are explained. Book 2, picks up where Bad Bishop leaves off.      Book Tropes:  Enemies to Lovers, Second Chance, Morally grey hero,  Obsessed , Stalker, Slow Burn.  Tierney Callaghan & Achilles  met when they were teenagers and they were mostly together dating in secret through their high school days. Tierney and  Tiernan Callaghan  are twins. They were taken as babies and raised in a Russian work camp. They both have  trauma   from that experience. Both were raised as killers and can fight with the best of them. Tierney doesn't need the bodyguards Achilles makes guard her, she's her own bodyguard.
