Book Tropes: enemies to lovers, hockey romance, sports romance, small town romance, single dad, marriage of convenience. 

 Olivia is a sports lawyer / agent. She works her butt off. Her bosses keep telling her she is in the running for a partner position but have been dangling that carrot in front of her for a year now. She found out one of her bosses is retiring in 6 months but of course no one let her know. They did say that she wouldn’t make partner due to her lack of being married and not having any kids. They couldn’t tell how she would handle personal life and work life. Oi!!! 

 Logan is a single dad who is trying to get full custody of his 1 yr old. He is the captain on a hockey team in New Jersey. He and his younger brother both play on the team. His grandfather - Pops and his sister and older brother work on a 6,000 acre ranch the family has. He is there when he’s not playing hockey and during the off season. 

 Logan and his younger brother, Rafe, are in Las Vegas and who do they run into? Olivia and her cousin Serena. Logan and Olivia knew each other from college. They didn’t hate each other much then but recently they have been a complication to each other. But now, Logan sees Olivia as someone who could help him with custody of his daughter. 

 Will a quick marriage help benefit them both? Or will a quick Vegas wedding do them more harm? Will Olivia stop working and put her trust in Logan and his family?

  Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lila Ferrante, grew up with everyone thinking she had the mind of a 5 year old. Her mother told everyone she was simple minded. Lila grew up as the baby of the family, her older brothers didn’t really spend time with her as she only played with the dolls her mother allowed her to play with. ARC Book Review - Twisted Pawn (Society of Villains, #2) by L.J. Shen

  Book Rating:    We meet most of the same characters from Book 1, Bad Bishop. I recommend reading book 1, Bad Bishop as the characters, history are explained. Book 2, picks up where Bad Bishop leaves off.      Book Tropes:  Enemies to Lovers, Second Chance, Morally grey hero,  Obsessed , Stalker, Slow Burn.  Tierney Callaghan & Achilles  met when they were teenagers and they were mostly together dating in secret through their high school days. Tierney and  Tiernan Callaghan  are twins. They were taken as babies and raised in a Russian work camp. They both have  trauma   from that experience. Both were raised as killers and can fight with the best of them. Tierney doesn't need the bodyguards Achilles makes guard her, she's her own bodyguard.
