ARC Book Review - West of Forever (Heartstone Ranch #1), by Corrine Michaels

Book Trope: Grumpy vs Sunshine. Single Dad. Cowboy / Cowgirl. Small Town. Rival Families. Forbidden Romance. Enemies to Lovers.

Tristan Stone is a widower with 12 yr old daughter, who drives him crazy most days. He runs his family’s ranch now that his dad is older. He has three sisters who also work the ranch with him. When he sees a truck in the rain he wants to help whoever may be in trouble. Of course when he sees is Lark he can’t believe his luck. His family hates hers but when she gets into his truck and he takes a good look at her he can’t seem to remember why they hate each other. He shouldn’t like Lark but he can stop thinking about her.

Lark Gatlin - is a member of the Gatlin family. She is a horse trainer on their ranch. She has 4 brothers, 2 that help run the ranch with her and her parents. Lark has dated some but has never found anyone she wants to stay with. One night during a rain storm she runs off the road in her truck. Her boyfriend doesn’t come to help, she doesn’t know who to turn to next for help when a truck comes up behind her to help. Tristan steps out of course the one person her family can’t stand. But why? He’s so handsome and has the rugged look that makes women look at him twice. Why does she need to hate him?

Tristan and Lark keep running into each other over the next few weeks in town and each time their glances at each other get longer and longer. Will Lark be able to stop her feelings for Tristan? What will her family think of her being with him? But with Tristan everything is easier, he makes life easier for her. Will Tristan be able to keep his feelings for Lark a secret from his nosey sisters?

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book from the Author Corinne Michaels and team. I am freely leaving a honest book review.
