ARC Book Review XOXO, Summer by S.L. Scott
Book Tropes: Grumpy vs Sunshine. Hockey player romance. Small Town Romance. He falls first.
Daniel Sutton is a professional hockey player for a team in NYC, he also has a son, Roman. Daniel is in the small town of Mountain Laurel Cove, to get out of the city and get back to the free summer feeling he had when he was younger. His hockey career is in termoil. He has been told to clean up his act or retiring would be in hands of others not his.
Summer Season works in the small town Mountain Laurel Cove, and managing a few rental houses near her house. She is the eldest of the Season sisters-she has three younger one's. Their grandmother raised them after their parents died. Summer wants to keep her small town, small. She doesn't want the big developers coming in a tearing down the houses / building large buildings. She wants to keep things how they have been.
Daniel and Summer tried to do a 'fake' relationship. As Daniel would get Summer as his 'date' to events. And he could help Summer out with the rental properties. But, these two turned insta love, and instant "I love you's."
When Daniel leaves to go back to the city, will he and Summer be able to keep up their romance from a distance? Or will they fall back into their normal routines without each other?
