ARC Book Review - The Forbidden Villain: A Dark Billionaire Romance by V.F. Mason

Lavender Wright, is thirty years old. She is working on a bachelor's degree in  Mythology. She gave up her draeam of becoming a Dr when she was held hostage by her uncle for the past few years. Her brother are constantly by her side or watching her every move. It's like she can grow up but only by their rules. Her brothers gave her a bank card, credit card, town house, but they still watch her, always making sure she doesn't slide backwards to the darkness they rescued her from. Lavender has never had any boyfriends, she has never gone on any dates. Now that her uncle scard her permanently on her neck and face she knows she will never get anyone to love her. Just walking down the streets is painful for her when people glance at her scars. 

Levi Scott, is twenty years old, he isn't 100% sure on how old he really is. He was born into captivity. He did escape when he was 7 or 8 yrs old. Levi was adopted into the Scott family, a billionaire family. His dad Lachlan Scott and his uncle taught him how to fight, how to defend himself, and how to hunt those who harm the family. Levi noticed Lavender last year and hasn't ever forgotten her. Since then he's stalked her, he's watched her from affar. Now, that she has gotten into one of his clubs he knows he can't let her go. He needs her. 

There were a lot of side characters, side stories going on I wasn't sure about. Are the other stories and this one interconnected?  I did feel like this story of Lavendar and Levi did get lost in the weeds a little bit. 

Will Levi's past come back to haunt him and Lavender? Will her brothers let him to be with Lavender?

ARC Book Review - Twisted Pawn (Society of Villains, #2) by L.J. Shen

  Book Rating:    We meet most of the same characters from Book 1, Bad Bishop. I recommend reading book 1, Bad Bishop as the characters, history are explained. Book 2, picks up where Bad Bishop leaves off.      Book Tropes:  Enemies to Lovers, Second Chance, Morally grey hero,  Obsessed , Stalker, Slow Burn.  Tierney Callaghan & Achilles  met when they were teenagers and they were mostly together dating in secret through their high school days. Tierney and  Tiernan Callaghan  are twins. They were taken as babies and raised in a Russian work camp. They both have  trauma   from that experience. Both were raised as killers and can fight with the best of them. Tierney doesn't need the bodyguards Achilles makes guard her, she's her own bodyguard.
