ARC Book Review - It's About Time (Blossom Peak #4) by Harlow James

Book Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Book Tropes: Small Town, Enemies to Lovers, Fake Engagement, Best Friends Sister, Slow Burn

This is book #4 in the series. You don't need to read them in order or before as they are each standalones. But knowing who is who in the books makes reading the series amazing.

We met both Elliott and Dilynne back in book #1. Here book #4 we have a bit of a repeat of what is going on as it shows Elliot's side of and of Dilynne's from the time of the wedding up to current day.

Elliot Thorne is a lawyer who was just left at the alter. He turns to alcohol to help him get through the pain and tries to forget the wedding and Tori who left him at the alter. Dilynne is there at the beginning of his struggles to help him get ahold of himself and he starts to heal thanks to her.

Dilynne is the small towns mechanic. She works in a  specialty auto shop where she works on classic cars working to restore them to where they should be. She is usually covered in grease and often forgets the time when she is working on a project. She wants to make a name for herself in the automotive repair business. She loves what she does and wants the industry to realize that she - a woman can rebuild a car just a easy as a man can. Dilynne has had heart ache in the past and she doesn't really do relationships now. But, when she proposes a 'fake' engagement to Elliot she isn't sure if she can open her heart to him with how she's been hurt in the past.

Once Elliot's ex - Tori comes back into town Elliot knows he needs someone to help him with her. Elliot and DIlynne know just dating or being girlfriend / boyfriend won't deter Tori from his life. They announce they are engaged, which still doesn't knock Tori out of the picture. Once Elliot and Dilynne spend time together they realize they have true feelings for each other. But, will that be enough to hold them together?
