Back again in Kroydon Hills. We have Hendrix Sinclair who is a NHL Star. Who has just moved back to Kroydon Hills and now in their NHL team. He is also a widow with a 2 yr old. He doesn’t want sympathy he just wants to start living the. Next part of his life. He knew he would run into Serena but he wasn’t expecting his feelings for her to come back so fast and hard. He’s always loved Serena since they were 18. But his life took him one direction and her life took her another direction. Now that they are back in the same town will they be able to be together again? Or will both their meddling families get in the way? 

Serena has been working in HR with the NHL hockey team her family owns since she was hurt by a ACL tear in her soccer career. She doesn’t want to work for the hockey team. But she doesn’t know what else she can do. She isn’t happy not playing soccer and not being a part of the team. Her dad / family thought her being around the hockey team would help her be part of a team again. Being around Hendrix at the hockey arena isn’t something she is used to. Him being back in Kroydon Hills isn’t something she is use to either. She wants to see him but wants to keep him at arms length also. Can she control her past anger and hurt towards him?

Will Serena and Hendrix be able to find their way back to each other? Or will their past ruin their future?

ARC Book Review - Twisted Pawn (Society of Villains, #2) by L.J. Shen

  Book Rating:    We meet most of the same characters from Book 1, Bad Bishop. I recommend reading book 1, Bad Bishop as the characters, history are explained. Book 2, picks up where Bad Bishop leaves off.      Book Tropes:  Enemies to Lovers, Second Chance, Morally grey hero,  Obsessed , Stalker, Slow Burn.  Tierney Callaghan & Achilles  met when they were teenagers and they were mostly together dating in secret through their high school days. Tierney and  Tiernan Callaghan  are twins. They were taken as babies and raised in a Russian work camp. They both have  trauma   from that experience. Both were raised as killers and can fight with the best of them. Tierney doesn't need the bodyguards Achilles makes guard her, she's her own bodyguard.
