ARC book Review - Play Me, by Adriana Locke

  Book Rating:  Gray Adler plays   rugby and has just been added to the Royal's roaster as a new player. Gray has a lot of anger in him. He isn't playing like he use to. He is holding himself back. But from what?  Gray has been keeping a secret for a few years and it's eating him up. He can't keep self harming himself by keeping his feelings inside like he has been. Astrid has a lot of different jobs. One of them is being a personal assistant to    Renn  who owns the Royal's Rugby team.  Renn  asks Astrid to be Gray's personal assistant - keep him on the straight and narrow. Keep him following the rules. Astrid has had a lot of pain in her life as well. She likes to keep following the rules. She likes to be in charge. Who else will be if she's not?  Will Astrid be able to help Gray? But, will Gray be willing to accept her help?  I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest review. 

Book Review - War and his Queen (Carpe Noctem Series), by Amo Jones

  Book Rating:  The Elite Kings Club (EKC) has founding families.  Halen has always been considered the princess of the group.  Daughter of the notorious Bishop Hayes. And she is a daddy's girl through and through.  She doesn't seem as rash as her brother, Priest.  She actually has a sole compared to him. She is an excellent driver, and the other kids in the groups named one of the race tracks after her. Halen and War have always had a hate / hate type relationship. They would do things just to egg the other person on.   War has a push / pull relationship with Halen. He wants to be her bully. He wants to kill. He wants to toture people. He gets off on it. He has feelings for Halen, he always wants to be with her, mainly to protect her. He doesn't think she can do it herself.  A lot of drug use and alcohol use. There is a lot going on in this book. One page they are doing murders here by their house. And then they are off at another islan...

  Book Rating:  Shadow is the VP for the  Hurricane Heat MC. He went to a local hotel to get the money from someone, who didn't have the money of course. During the argument between the two Violet comes in looking for a hotel room. The hotel clerk states nothing is available hoping to get her out of the hotel quickly. Which makes her ask more questions.  Violet James is moving to Tampa for a new job, as a librarian at the local high school. However, the hurricane weather has her looking for a hotel to spend the night in to ride out the storm. The hotel she stops at doesn't have any rooms, but one of the guys in front of her can't stop staring. He offers her a room at his place if she will give him a ride. Shadow doesn't want to continue on his bike in the storm. She agrees, Shadows puts his bike in the hotel entryway or covered patio so it hopefully won't get too much damage from the storm. She has been going to college, but, after the last book, she was kidnapped, she thought about her future and what she wanted out of life. Now she doesn't want to keep going to college. She wants to open up her own bakery, have princess birthday parties, and other social events. She just has to tell her parents that she is quitting school.  Fiona's best friend and her go up to the cabin up by the lake. Her friend's mom calls and has been in an accident and she leaves to go back home to take care of her mom.   Book Rating:  Ryan is a hotshot hockey player and Wren’s big brother - Jay's best friend. They live across the street from each other. They are about 8ish yrs older than Wren is. Jay has always told Ryan how much older they are than Wren is. We don't see Ryan's hockey teammates in the picture at all really.  Wren is a quiet shy girl. She doesn't like the limelight.
